Easy Red, White and Blue Mocktail Recipe for Kids

This super easy 4 ingredient alcohol-free cocktail (mocktail) recipe for kids is perfect for celebrating the Royal Jubilee in style!

To celebrate the Royal Jubilee, I’ve created a new super simple mocktail recipe for kids. This easy recipe has just 4 ingredients, takes just a minute or two to assemble but looks really special and is sure to wow your kids!

Whatever you are doing over the special Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend, it’s great to have an alcohol-free cocktail option so that everyone can join in the celebrations!

Quick and easy red white and blue mocktail recipe for kids

The drink itself has just 2 ingredients – lemonade and grenadine, with added red and blue berries for an extra special Royal Jubilee drink!

If you haven’t tried grenadine before and are wondering what it is, it’s a simple fruit syrup that adds extra fun to all sorts of drinks! Poured in slowly, it will sink to the bottom and add a beautiful red layer to the glass. It can usually be found it in the alcohol aisle, but it’s definitely alcohol-free so child friendly too.

You can get 0% sugar grenadine but I would recommend the full sugar version for this recipe if you can find it, as it sinks to the bottom much better than the sugar-free version.

How to make a fun and easy red white and blue mocktail for kids

Red, White and Blue Mocktail

Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 600ml sugar free lemonade
  • 20ml grenadine syrup
  • 14 blueberries
  • 6 raspberries

Method:

Pour the lemonade into 2 glasses to about three quarters full.

Wash the blueberries and raspberries, then pop 6 blueberries and 3 raspberries into each glass. The fruit should float in the top of the lemonade.

Very slowly and carefully, pour a small amount of grenadine into each glass. The grenadine should sink to the bottom to form a pretty red layer.
